How to Store Your Wine

Everyone loves a good glass of wine once in a while however not everyone know how to store their wine. A wine cellar would be an obvious choice but if you’re home happens to not have one; a closet wine cellar would be an option. The ideal temperate for storing wine is 54°F making a wine cooler just as effective.

Before the wine bottle is opened it should be stored on its side and once opened the wine is placed in an upright position. White wine should be stored in a closet cellar or cooler where as a red wine could be stored in the open, just ensure you store your wine away from humidity and any strong odors.

It is also important to note that not all wines get better with age. Some white wines can last up to 20 years to maturity where as red wines usually last around 10 years. However this also depends on the type of wine used, there are those that spoil in a matter of days once opened.
